
Congratulations to the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office Cadets and their Advisors on their accomplishments in the 2024 Summer SCALE. Cadets from across South Carolina and one team from Tennessee came together in Summerville to compete in order to show who is the best of the best, with 14 teams participating.
The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office Cadet team consisted of Levi Sightler, Hunter Gooding, Aiden Schoulte and Conner Leibach. Their Advisors were Sgt. Phillip Cole and Deputy Christopher Vandermark.
The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office placed in the following categories:
Individual Awards: Cadet Levi Sightler- 2nd place PAT
Advisor Christopher Vandermark- 2nd place Firearms
Team Awards: 3rd place High Risk Traffic Stops
3rd place Drug Search Warrant Execution
3rd place Multi Jurisdiction Escaped Inmate (Colleton County Sheriff’s Office, Mt. Pleasant PD and Goose Creek PD)



Colleton County High School celebrated the custodial staff this morning for all the hard work they do all year. The school would not be able to run without you. Thank you so much!






Today Director of Buildings & Grounds Eric Hamilton hosted a district wide professional development for all Buildings & Grounds staff. He was assisted by his wonderful staff. It was held at the District Office Board Room. Several presentations & trainings were held.







Today the Colleton County School District held its first district wide professional development day @ CCHS. Presenters included faculty & staff that attended PD opportunities this summer. Also there were presentations from the SCDOE, iReady, Scholastic, & others.

Dr. Tiffany Arnold conducted the Lower Regional Math Nation+ Training at Colleton County High School this week. There were two sessions and several of our math teachers were able to participate. Thank you to Dr. Arnold & all who attended.




Colleton County School District held New Teacher Orientation July 23-25, 2024. It began at CCHS' auxillary gym & concluded @ the District Office. We welcomed 33 new teachers @ the event. Thank you to our curriculum facilitators, Ms. Janis Headden, & all the outside organizations!









This Week Ms. Uirica Bodison and her leadership team have been meeting with students for orientation. Monday morning the seniors were asked to attend orientation. The juniors were asked to attend orientation Monday afternoon. Tuesday morning the sophmore class was in attendance. Last but not least the freshman class attended. Many topics that were included uniform policy, cell phone policy, expectations for attendance & staying in class. Several parents also attend the sessions. Ms. Bodison and her leadership team are excited about starting the 2024-2025 school year on August 5, 2024.






Today Colleton County School District welcomed new employees to the district. The event was held in the auxiliary gym at Colleton County High School. The Human Resources Department did a fantastic job preparing for this event. New employees were welcomed by Superintendent Jessica Williams. Several local businesses and school organizatons helped welcome our new employees with small tokens of appreciation and valuable information about our community. We are very excited to have the new employees join our family.

Hello, Colleton County School District families,
There is still time for you to come in and request that your child be put on a bus. The last day to request bus transportation is July 23, 2024, so get your request in as soon as possible. Please visit your child(ren)'s school Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am- 4:00 pm this week or Monday-Tuesday next week.
If your child rode the bus last school year, you do not need to reapply. This is only for students that need bus transportation for the 2024-2025 school year that did not ride the bus last school term.

The 2024 Leadership Retreat featured a presentation from the CCSD Human Resource Department.



Day 2 of the 2024 Leadership Retreat started with a warm “Welcome” from Superintendent Jessica Williams. Then Stu Greenberg from Curriculum Associates presented to principals on principal effectiveness and the correlation to improved data. It was a very productive morning.






Mr. L. Williams has been hard at work @ TCTC getting ready for the 2024-2025 school year! School may be out but our teachers are hard at work.






Shout out to the CCMS & CCHS Math teachers that are working hard on the new math curriculum for the 2024-2025 school year.

Today Colleton County School District leaders are meeting @ Dogwood Hills for the 2024-2025 Leadership Retreat. This is an opportunity for our school leadership teams to receive valuable information for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.


Colleton County Middle School & Colleton County High School teachers are hard @ work preparing for the new 2024-2025 school year by creating new ELA curriculum based on new state standards & materials.




Thank you to Walterboro Elks Lodge #1988 Bingo for donating 168 cases of water to the Colleton County High School Band of Blue!! It will be put to great use as the band begins to prepare for the 2024 marching season!
