After nine rounds of fierce competition, Sarai Lynah, a student at Forest Hills Elementary School, emerged as the winner of the 2025–2026 Colleton County Spelling Bee, demonstrating exceptional spelling skills, focus, and perseverance. Juan Alatriste, from Cottageville Elementary School, earned the distinction of second runner-up after an impressive performance throughout the competition.
The annual Colleton County Spelling Bee brings together top student spellers from across the district to showcase their academic excellence,linguistic knowledge, and confidence under pressure. This year’s event highlighted the dedication of students, teachers, and families who support literacy and academic achievement.
