CCHS Parents/Guardians and Students:
If a student has an FA (Failure Due to Absence) for a course, it is a result of the students having missed too many days in a particular class beyond what is allowable to earn the seat-time requirement.
In order to have the FA removed, students must complete the required digital course that is designed to provide mindfulness related to the importance of school attendance as well as skills that are deemed to be necessary in meeting the South Carolina Profile of the High School Graduate. To gain access to the courseware, there is a cost of $25.00 per FA. This is to be paid at the school’s fee window. Upon payment, the receipt of payment is to be presented to the student’s school counselor. The school counselor will enroll the student in the necessary course.
FA’s may be appealed to the school’s administration through completing the form at the following Link.
Completed forms may be returned to the Colleton County High School Main Office. Office Hours are from 8:30am-3:30pm Monday through Thursday, with the exception of July 4-July 7, 2022.
